1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 Agreement: By booking a stay on Lokhali, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to your booking.

1.2 Changes to Terms: Lokhali reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to book a stay on Lokhali.

2.2 Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all local, state, national, and international laws and regulations applicable to your use of the platform.

3. Account Registration and Management

3.1 Registration: To book a stay, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update this information as necessary.

3.2 Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account information and for any activities or actions under your account. Notify Lokhali immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Booking Process

4.1 Search and Selection: Use the Lokhali platform to search for available accommodations based on your preferences.

4.2 Booking Request: Submit a booking request by selecting dates and providing payment information. The Host has 24 hours to accept or decline your request.

4.3 Confirmation: A booking is confirmed when the Host accepts your request and Lokhali sends a confirmation email. Your payment method will be charged at this time.

5. Payment and Fees

5.1 Service Fees: Lokhali charges service fees to Guests for the use of the platform. These fees are displayed before booking and may include taxes and other charges.

5.2 Payment Processing: Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. You must provide accurate billing information and ensure that sufficient funds are available for the transaction.

5.3 Payout to Hosts: Hosts receive payouts after the Guest’s check-in date, subject to processing times of the payment processor.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

6.1 Guest Cancellations: Guests may cancel their booking according to the cancellation policy specified in the listing. Refunds depend on the policy in place at the time of booking.

6.2 Host Cancellations: If a Host cancels a booking, Lokhali may assist the Guest in finding alternative accommodations. The Host may be subject to penalties, including a cancellation fee and potential suspension.

6.3 Refunds: Refunds are processed according to the applicable cancellation policy and may take up to 14 business days to appear in the Guest’s account.

7. House Rules and Property Care

7.1 Compliance: Guests must adhere to the house rules specified by the Host. Failure to comply may result in penalties or termination of the booking.

7.2 Property Care: Guests must take reasonable care of the property and report any damages or issues to the Host promptly.

8. Reviews and Feedback

8.1 Reviews: After the stay, both Guests and Hosts can leave reviews and ratings. Reviews should be honest and reflect the actual experience.

8.2 Review Guidelines: Reviews must be genuine and fair. Lokhali reserves the right to remove reviews that violate our policies.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Resolution Mechanisms: Lokhali provides tools for resolving disputes between Guests and Hosts. Users are encouraged to resolve issues amicably through direct communication.

9.2 Arbitration Agreement: Disputes that cannot be resolved through Lokhali’s support will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with [Arbitration Organization] rules.

9.3 Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve any claims individually and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

10. Governing Law

You agree to indemnify and hold Lokhali harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal and accounting fees, arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your interaction with any Guest or Host.

Lokhali reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by User: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting Lokhali support and ceasing all use of the platform.

14.2 Termination by Lokhali: Lokhali may terminate or suspend your account at any time, for any reason, including for breach of these Terms.

14.3 Effects of Termination: Upon termination, you must cease all use of the platform. Any outstanding bookings will be honored or refunded according to the applicable cancellation policies.
